Mozilla leverages social media to break world record

To break the Guinness World Record for most software downloads in a day, Mozilla Firefox launched a campaign that tapped into various social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and SpreadFirefox.com. With the help of its community, Mozilla Firefox officially broke the record, logging over 8 million unique downloads on what it dubbed its “Download Day 2008.” Thanks Jennifer Leggio
