MySpace is McDonald’s channel of choice

It’s the Big Mac’s 40th anniversary, and McDonald’s wants to revive the ad that aired 40 years ago-but instead of hiring an agency to rework the melody of the once-popular jingle, McDonald’s has turned to its customers. The “Big Mac Chant-Off”, a contest run on MySpace, has received more than 1,000 submissions, and public voting will select a winner from the five finalists this Tuesday. The winner’s song will be featured in a McDonald’s ad later this month. Thanks Stephanie Clifford
